Firebirds in Chester-Le-Street

MTS recently supplied a PA system to cover 5000 people at an outdoor spectacular in Chester-le-street. The internationally renowned Theatre Titanik were bringing there show to the town and required the best. Event management company CDH Creatives have a long association with MTS and together we have worked on some very unusual events. We designed a flexible system consisting of a mixture of D&B C4 and C7 with B2 Subs on PA wings either side of the 40m long stage!! World Cup Fever

MTS recently provided PA, Lighting and Catwalk to launch the temporary Kitbag shop on Market Street on behalf of Mere PR. Equipment supplied included an 8m x 1m catwalk and distributed Nexo PS10 PA system with radio link to the ground floor in house system. The organisers were very happy with the result which was discretely installed without using a single speaker stand!

To celebrate their 10th birthday, Greater Manchester Music Action Zone put on a special concert at the contact theatre in Manchester. Building on our long running association with the organization, MTS were asked to supply PA for the event which saw a huge number of young people on stage performing works they had created during the week. We were delighted to have been able to help them celebrate in style.

Ivy Manchester Celebrates with MTS

On 18th April Ivy Manchester celebrated at the Armitage Centre in Manchester. Regular sound supplier MTS were called on to provide a suitable system for this cavernous space! With an eclectic range of artists from the acoustic subtleties of Way of the Lakes to the driving beats of LZ7 the d&b system performed brilliantly with many people also commenting on the outstanding vocal clarity during the speeches. Happy Easter at the Bridgewater Hall

On Easter Sunday, MTS provided PA and production support for a Gospel Concert at the Bridgewater Hall. For the 9 lead vocalists, a choir of 24 and a 15 piece band MTS provided a PM5D at FOH with a newly updated M7CL on Monitors handling the 24 mixes required. They utilized the in house Meyer rig, supplementing it with d&b C4 tops and C7Subs to cover the stalls. With a happy client and the audience dancing in the aisles this was another successful event for MTS.

New Installations for MTS

Having recently completed a PA installation for Manchester Creative and Media Academy, MTS are delighted to have been asked to quote on two more systems for the school. The initial brief was to supply a system which could be used for playback and speech in a very reverberant gym hall with a mobile control system. MTS discussed possible options in depth with the client and provided demonstrations. The final design included a Graphic EQ to allow the engineers to tune the system to the room resulting in good vocal clarity in a very difficult space. MTS also provided custom cages to protect the speakers from stray basketballs! We really do consider all the angles!

MTS provided PA and Lighting for the Eclectic event at Blue Print Studios. This showcase concert is for students on the RNCM’s Access to Music course and featured 6 different bands across the night performing in a variety of styles. Organiser Andy Stott commented: ” Thank you for a job well done - a very professional service.” Just what we like to hear!
